Problem
People use stereotypes and first impressions to simplify the “bloomin’, buzzin’ confusion” of the world. Participants who see a developing facilitator climbing the learning curve often conclude that this learner will never be ready for prime time. They may know the facilitator from a previous role at E&Y and not be confident that the person they thought they saw can handle their event.
Solution
Open in Hartford or Philly – or anywhere else but your home center until you are ready for prime time. Do your practicing in a safe place until you are ready.
